Samsung’s Android 14 Update, accompanied by its latest One UI 6.0 software, has been met with widespread acclaim. However, a growing number of Galaxy users are now grappling with a concerning issue – the breaking of wireless Android Auto functionality on their devices.

Since the end of October 2023, Samsung’s Android 14 Update has been progressively updating over 40 Galaxy devices with the new Android 14 operating system. While the majority of users have experienced a smooth transition without significant bugs, reports have emerged on Google’s forums regarding wireless Android Auto malfunctions following the update.

Numerous Samsung Galaxy owners have voiced their grievances, highlighting the inability to use Android Auto wirelessly after Samsung’s Android 14 Update. The problem appears consistent across various Galaxy models, with users reporting issues on the Galaxy S22+, S22 Ultra, Galaxy A54, and the Galaxy S23 series.

The affected users describe scenarios where wireless connections either cease to function altogether or become highly unstable, working only briefly before encountering disruptions. This has prompted Google to acknowledge the issue by adding it to the “Known Issues” list, and a community specialist has engaged with users on the forum thread. As of now, however, there is no official fix in place.

While a comprehensive solution might require a system patch from Samsung, some users speculate that a more immediate resolution could come in the form of an app update from Google. Fortunately, those experiencing issues still have the option to use Android Auto via a cable connection, albeit sacrificing the convenience of a wireless setup.

Interestingly, Galaxy users aren’t the sole victims of wireless Android Auto issues on Android 14. Reports suggest that a number of Google Pixel owners have encountered similar problems, particularly after the December 2023 update. Nevertheless, this Pixel-related issue appears less widespread compared to its Samsung counterpart.

As users await a resolution to these connectivity challenges, it underscores the complexities that can accompany major software updates. The collaboration between users, community specialists, and tech giants like Samsung and Google becomes crucial in identifying and addressing such issues promptly. Whether a quick fix via app update or a more extensive patch from Samsung, the community remains optimistic for a seamless Android Auto experience on their Galaxy devices in the near future.
